Easy to install. Detailed instructions. Did have to cut more plastic away to slide this in.

The uniden um385 25 watt fixed mount marine vhf radio is a dependable, feature-rich radio. It has greatly enhanced our boating adventures. Radio seems to be extremely well built and compact.

The memory channel scan feature is a time-saver. It has a scan feature not like the older radios where you hit scan mode and if anyone is talking it will stop on that channel. It uses the older nmea0183 protocol so if you want it to communicate on you... Read More

Cons

Both units speaker no longer works its only been a month! They want it returned on my dime and then they take 5 weeks to ship a new one back. The scan mode only works on saved channels.

No response from anyone. No smoke nothing. Highly disappointed.

The radio has a non-functioning squelch that makes use of chs 5a, 11, 14, 21a and 67 unusable. Not 1 channel comes in and hooked up to a pretty good antenna.
