Cons

An expensive paperweight. I'm sorry i can't give this radio a favorable rating because of it's charger. Do not buy anything manufactured by uniden ever under any circumstances whatsoever.

This radio isn't waterproof. It sinks like a brick. Froze up after 8 months of use. Missed the return date so. It wasn't submerged.

Clipped the base onto the radio and plugged the cable into the usual cigarette lighter port, then nothing. Light on charger just blinks. Only way to charge this radio is with a plug-in car charger.

There is no retaining mechanism for the clip (it simply rotates and falls off) the plastic latch on the underside holding the battery pack to the radio, and for sealing the gasket between the two, is exceedingly fragile.
