Pros & Cons
Pros
Using the osprey apogee, is consider a slightly larger cover to get a good coverage of the sides of the bag when full of gear. I love how compact it is, and how it fits perfectly in its own carry pouch. Fits easily over a small/medium backpack with sp... Read More
When you get the hang of it, setup and breakdown takes seconds. It folds into it's own storage pouch and my son keeps it in his backpack all the time. Once taken out, it is a little difficult to get back in the bag, but it is possible.
Great to have in case of unexpected rain. Thoughtful design. Price is quite reasonable and i received my shipment within a matter of days.
The cover seems of high quality with 2 way straps to securely hold it in place. Sbs zippers are second behind ykk which is wonderful. Comes in a pouch and has two straps to hold it securely on the pack.
Small packed size stows perfectly in an inner pocket of my backpack. The snaps are durable clickers and good nylon straps for easy clip on and off. The material is pretty durable.
Cons
Missing the female half of the connector of the vertical strap. The strap at the base of the product has no means to be affixed to the top. The xl is way too small.
Highlights
Quality
I am so happy with this product!
As a walker, i appreciate the extra visibility with the reflective strip.
Price
The price is quite reasonable and i received my shipment within a matter of days.
Packaging/appearance
The best feature, in my mind, is the grommet that lets water drain out of the bottom instead of pooling at the e c bottom of the pack.
The cover goes around the top and sides nicely and still allows you to carry the pack on your back without the contents getting wet.
Luckily the cover fit the pack perfectly.
Competitiveness
Works great, the small size is a little small for a 28l bag despite being advertised for a 30l bag.
Used in some heavy rain on a northface router 40 liter backpack
Had to go up 1 size to a large to fit my ogio renegade backpack
