    I virus scanned the hard drives with norton and found several old viruses so know that can happen

    There were instances where windows will tell you it cant do something with a file and i wasnt there to say try again or skip

    The fix to recommence the copying without restarting from scratch is to access the hdd from windows explorer and click a few directories deep
