Pros

Nice tool. Useful and good price. It's a lot better than what you expect to get for $1.

Strong enough to transfer turkey (in the cavity) from roaster to cutting board. T hey are sturdy and can be use in most of the kitchen applications.

Cons

The metal is thin, there's no mechanism to keep it closed when not in use, and the spring is so strong that anyone who uses these tongs all day will develop hands like charles atlas. Very lightweight, flimsy metal.

They're also much smaller than expected - check out the other reviewer's photo for size reference to a hand. Not only are they not extra long, they are not even regular sized! Got these today, very unimpressed.
