Full backlit keyboard with shift and alt. Backlight helps to see and comes on and off on its own to preserve battery life. This makes typing in a web address something you need a flashlight for which is silly for a backlit remote.
It uses gyro sensing to operate like a mouse on a computer screen. Alarm sensor for anyone approaching front or back gates.
Cons
The cursor jumps around on the screen, even when the device is resting on a table. If you want the cursor to go from the right side to the left, turn on the mouse, swipe your arm right to left. The plastic clips they use to hold the two sides together... Read More
The remote didn't reliably work for me. After almost every single use, it is effectively useless.
The mx3 has a pretty good layout except for the programmable colored *. The rii mx8 has the worst layout of the three.

But all in all great product for the price.
Very happy at the price and functionality.
Rechargability would be desirable, but it would just cost more.
Well priced air mouse remote with cool features.

Amazon sent me a replacement as the first one that came was used and had no instructions.

It works fine and is much better than the cheaper, similar controller that comes with so many cheap set-top devices.
Better than mx6, as this one is also light weight and found it functionally superior to others in the lower-mid price range
I haven't found a better remote for kodi.

I does have a back light function but i did notice when i push that button while watching youtube on my firebox it activates the controls on the screen
