Just make sure you use a full usbc cable not one that is just designed for power and basic data they dont have all the pins connected

I bought various adapters and they werent necessary already had the requisite hdmi to mini dp adapter for the surface

Next the flip cover doesnt work very well to keep this thing propped up in my experience

Let me be very clear however that the surface pro 3 isnt capable of sending video over its usb port to this monitor which is actually a power issue i believe

When i am using the adapter it shows that the sound is being rerouted to usb and the volume level so thats cool
