This is perfect for my needs and the very affordable. Small enough that i don’t feel like the corners are stressed when it is packed.
Cons
Freesync is supposed to quickly turn off and on again to activate the feature. It’s like the feature in not baked on the tv software. Not only are there no screws included, vesa screws do -not- fit.

It turns out that according to apple, thunderbolt 2 and mini display, while not exactly the same, work exactly the same for this use.
The verdict is that this is probably one of the better choice out there in terms of price / quality.
Even on the device itself, nowhere does it indicate the model number or any branding.
I bought another brand's portable monitor in 2023 and returned it since resolution and brightness were just so so, as was the refresh rate.
