The minimal clear plastic holder works great to keep s/p together and avoid leaving a mess on the table.
I'd rather fill the mill every month and have fresher seasonings than do it every three months and have it get stale.
My current mill allows more fine tuning of the grind instead of the six presets, but these work fine for me.
