Look at the old one before removing so you can replace the same way there is a small plastic arm that has to fit in a slot

You do have to tip the washer on its front to get at the bottom where this is located

So my 2 year old maytag would either try starting a wash cycle well make it to the sensing step then throw an error code f7e1 or it would skip right cycle complete
