Pros

Everything on it, defies the power outages. This saves me a lot of trouble from resetting the server when the power goes out. I have a over sensitive ground fault breaker that literally trips sometimes when motors on other circuits start.

Both of the units i bought are completely useless, totally defeating the purpose of a ups. Do yourself a favor and get an apc.

The batteries are not replaceable because they are hardwired into the circuitry and impossible to untangle from the internal harness. The unit is no longer under warranty as well.

After everyone i asked recommended the tripplite, i got one from amazon (quick delivery, yadda yadda).

It came fairly quick and was bought to replace an old one that i had for 10 years.

Only had it a short time, it sits there unloaded until new computer arrives.

Packaging/appearance

Though just unpacked it and plugged it in.

Also, box did show correct part number for what i ordered.

Competitiveness

This is a great replacement for a more expensive name brand i had.

I have been using these things since the mid 1990's and have bought a lot of them, mostly apc brand.

I have both this one and the smar1500.

In general, tripp-lite branded products (in addition to their ups units) have always come through for me.
