The remote is. Well done. The plastic shell is sturdy and has a glossy finish. Its cold, easy to set up and compact.

Fans by themselves are super quiet but it does get a little louder when the compressor kicks on. This portable ac is amazing and works better than i expected. The ac is not too loud and is very easy to install.

The return process was handled in an exemplary fashion. No complaint so far. I would buy it again, i just think you should take this into consideration when deciding if it is right for your application.

Btu pac has ample cooling for my (9-1/2 foot ceiling) kitchen. Three modes, two fan speeds, and a timer function give this item versatility.

Cons

The back of the air conditioner has 3 tabs for the vent to lock onto, but the third did not form correctly, so this unit is not able to be used. Our thermostats are on point, but this would always read 5-10 degrees hotter at all times.

The only way to adjust the louvers is with the remote, so you can never lose that.
