Price
At a price point of ~50 cents per foot, this wide, multi-purpose repair tape seems a good buy.
This a great fix for a low cost, that will add much more life and quality to your awning.
It's been holding up, it hasn't come loose so if you have any repair jobs like that, this should be the trick at a good price.
However, the tape is cheaper than new tarps.

The roll is 5 inches wide but you cab cut your piece to whatever size you need

It has adhered well to both surfaces though i may have to replace the tape every six months or so since i’m using it outside and it’s exposed to the elements every single day
