I contacted us weight customer service saying that i would save the hassle of sending it back and keep the item since the damage didn’t affect the functionality of the stand

I have used sand and water filled before but they never worked and lost too many umbrellas to the wind

Trying to get wet sand to pass through a 1 hole is problematic to say the least

Considering the price of this base compared to others im not sure its worth it to buy the empty version when you figure in another 10 for sand and the time to fill it

So i thought maybe windy conditions might cause the pole might bang against the tables hole so i looked for an insert to put into the tables umbrella hole but could not find one to fit
