Pros

Type a male to usb 3. Adapter works great for usb-a adaptation. Works to connect yubico key to an old dell optiplex. Unlike other passive adapters, this one has an active ic in it to properly handle the conversion.

As there are 8 bits per byte, the conversion from one to the other is either 8 bits times or 8 bits divided. Works absolutely flawless. Seems to work well as a gender changer.

It is clearly something that apple or beats should know about when created the flex beats and only included usb 3. Love it. Bought 3 cords. This is the one.

Construction wise it feels nice and solid, as much as a small adapter can be that is.

Old adapter didn't work, this blows it away.

Most usb-c to usb-a adapters are junk because the official spec does not support this conversion directly.

Price

An inexpensive and effective little component, exactly what i needed for the job.

It was either test it out with this here or get the wireless connection (forgot name) for $80-90.

Packaging/appearance

The price is excellent and the original packaging doesn't really need giftwrap.

It works across different brands of hubs/docks like belkin, satechi, and off brands like wavlink, docketexpand, and intpw.

I tried couple other adapters but none of them worked with my iphone15 max and crv carplay.
