Pros

There is a little button at the end of a 6 foot cord that attaches to the device that is pressed to toggle between the devices. No matter what you want to do with computers or peripherals, if you need a connector or cable, startech makes it.

Led lights are bright, but if you don't like'm, slap electric tape on'em. A very handy item.

This thing is super simple, as it should be and does exactly what it's supposed to very well. Small, does the job. Switches pretty quick. Works as described.

The two cables are held together with twisty ties. Long connecting cables, which is good.

The keyboard works great and i haven't had to reset the switch yet. Working just fine with no interruptions or hiccups. In general, satisfied with product, but not overwhelmingly so.

Seems fairly well made and i expect it will last under normal use.

Quality:the device seems sturdy, the usb cables are strong.

The ugreen switch was kinda flaky: it would stop working every few days, had to be disconnected / reconnected to get it right.

This switch has been rock solid for over a month with never a lost device or confused computer.

Price

With all of that i figured the price was completely worth it.

Don't hesitate to buy because even with the slight delay (3-5 seconds) it's well worth the money.

I'd give it 5 stars bit it's a little pricy for what it is.

Packaging/appearance

So immediately once i took it out of the package my fingerprints got all over it and when i tried to wipe it off scratch marks ensued.

Competitiveness

You can use this to share most any usb device between two machines that use usb 3.

You now have your shared device going into the startech and from there to two computers.

I recently purchased an x55 rhino joystick and throttle set.

Got one of these to replace a similar device from ugreen purchased here on amazon.
