This usb adapter allows the connection of speakers designed for standard usb plug to connect with the modern usb c outlet found on the moder imac. I have this connected to a tascam digital mixer/recorder.

Cons

This item is not compatible with a microphone as stated for a usb-c connection. Audio input from the mic is garbled and static laden. I have really good headphones and this is really disappointing.
