Well, indeed not just anker, another brand uxxxxx also has the same smoothness issue, both with the loads of cables i've bought so far.

I think for this brand an extra premium paid over low cost cables especially not rated for data transfer a durable smooth plug is critical as were likely keep plugging it very frequently

Btw ive only broke 1 apple cables so far with pretty much over 50 if not a hundred that ive used since iphone exist

I used a lot pretty rough and a lot for travelling and rush packing chucking pulling in luggages regardless how flimsy apple cables feel like
