Pros
Overall, it’s a fantastic device for daytime use. It runs somewhat warm, but so do a lot of things. I've tried several, this is the best one yet.
Cons
Dockteck has a quality issue. The design is unprofessional. It's just too nerve wrecking and time consuming to constantly have to fiddle with it.
New macbook pro 14 keeps telling me to disconnect this hub for using too much power. Now loose connection to usb-c port, even powered.
Amazon customer service kind enough to help resolve the issue and provide refund. Dockteck provides 24month warranty on product but good luck contacting anyone about this as it was sold through seller.

Quality
Works perfectly with my hp probook, power delivery works well, 2 displays (hdmi and urb-c) and a usb webcam work perfectly fine.
The dockteck dongle has exceeded my expectations and proven to be durable and functional in my workplace and for travel use.
If you are unable to charge your device that supports dp alt mode, first try a different cable.
Unfortunately, the laptop refuses to recognize the pd mode.

Competitiveness
I use an m1 macbook pro, a lenovo x1, and a dell laptop.
The main reason to get this over similar, cheaper options is the 4k @ 60hz hdmi, most others will only do 30hz.
With the apple adapter the power was not enough for the dell or lenovo, but with this one all is good.

Since i sleep in the same room as my computer the lights were disruptive at night

Unfortunately this led me to return the product as they were quite noticeable in a dark room though not an issue during the day

Just be mindful if you’re sensitive to light in your sleeping environment

I used it to hook up a couple of external hard disks to my computer which has only one usbc and one one usba ports

Data transfer speed on this was slower than wifi and it gets warm
