I have a simple usb3 to hdmi adapter from hp that works great. The hub i received uses an asix chip as advertised.

It powered the chromecast right up with the included power adapter and ethernet and micro sd are working great as well.

Not with the power adapter included with the chromecast or with any other usb-c charger i own.

Because the chromecast only has a single usb-c port which is primarily for power, a usb-c hub with power delivery was mandatory.

Competitiveness

I was able to get everything working just as i hoped with a similar hub sold here on amazon by the brand hootoo.
