Pros

The usb c ports on my mac mini can serve as an ethernet channel. Plugged into the open usb c on the left side of x1 and my speed at work went form 30-50mbs over wifi to 900mbs. It allows the ethernet to be attached to the usb c of my newer macbook.

The material quality is good. Very durable build quality, and an appealing design. Untried as of yet, - but ;price ; fair. The packaging is also good.

Cons

If you don't need usb-c, i'd suggest just buying the cheapo amazon basics adapter. There's no indication on the adapter whether the ethernet is live or not. Was getting 160mb download on wifi, when connected directly to the modem with this only got 13... Read More

I bought this years ago, but this has been absolutely clutch because the wifi in my current apartment, esp where my desk is, is terrible.
