The monitor works at full resolution (or many other lower resolutions), and the built in camera and microphone work as always.
The 27" cinema display is still a very nice display and now i can get many more years of use out of it.
The monitor works well, and will not switch off momentarily like in the 'old' situation.
This helps, but only changes the white balance, it doesn't dim the monitor.

Connects using a minidisplay port adapter not a thunderbolt

The only exception which is a minor problem for me is that the brightness of the monitor cannot be adjusted

All the other settings are available through the displays panel in mac os systems settings but there is no setting for the brightness of the external monitor

I think this is an issue with the current mac os ventura rather than this adaptor
