Pros & Cons
Pros
Zfs makes the writes largely sequential, where this stick really shines. Sequential read and write are over 350 mb/s up to a queue depth of 8. Mbps. Using gnome-disks application on the drive plugged into a 3. Gb stick, won't frustrate you while insta... Read More
Physically it feels well made and the usb connector pops out with a solid click. The metal body is amazing.
Cons
Bad claims of 60 mbps. Can't format it at all. Formatting in either xfat or ntfs does nothing, and often the formatting itself fails. In 2 months some files are unreadable and the stick from time to time is not recognized by os. In linux is says devic... Read More
The case is cheap, but metal, hard to say if it gets hot (is the case a hear sink? But when removed, the connector is not very hot. One of them works. Other one gives me occasional errors. It is very big and bulky and might not fit in usb ports that a... Read More
Buyer beware. This product is not expensive to buy, but it is costly with your time.
Highlights
Quality
I love the design and durability of this flash drive.
This is, by far, the fastest usb stick i’ve ever seen, posting sequential results on par with many good sata ssds.
260 mbps sustained read and 160 mbps sustained write, on the h2testw software is really nothing to scoff at.
- random reads and writes are around 17mb/s.
Price
00 price makes this usb drive a good buy for most users.
Fast file transfers at a great cost.
Hard to locate american made inexpensive products.
Still good enough for me, given the price.
Shipping
2 flash drive also arrived today from amazon.
1 flash drive -( 350mb/s, super speed) usb from amazon which arrived today.
Updated review:original drive arrived dead, but customer services refunded my purchase.
Packaging/appearance
They are full sized, come with a detached cap (easy to lose), and come in a simple packaging.
What i disliked: what i received was a used flash drive, obvious it was a opened package.
Competitiveness
Vansuny is many times faster than comparable flash sticks from sandisk, memorex, teamgroup.
They are really fast and half the price of other items with similar speeds.
It's literally the fasted usb flash drive i've ever used, even comparing to the sandisk extreme line.
I ordered one 128gb and one 256gb and the 128gb was almost 50 mb/s faster on the read and over 100 mb/s faster on the write com... Read More
