Thats because it supports 100w over 10ft so it needs larger conductors and the plugs are extended to include the chip necessary to support 100w

This knowledge is usually abstracted away from the users since theoretically if the cable was compliant you wouldnt need to know but weve all seen examples of the garbage manufacturers will release
