Pros

Usb to rj45 adapter gives 800-900mb download speed on laptop. Perfect for a hardwire connection and it's on a desktop.

Cons

Switched it back to this one. Didn't change the download speed one iota. Requires drivers - but are obscure, unintuative, written in chine language, compressed (unnecessary and outdated) with no automatic installation.

No warranty response from seller despite two tries over more than 6 weeks. Clearly points to this device not functioning correctly, at least not with the roku.

It's the usb nic that's faulty, not the ethernet cable or the router. The adapter logs into the router but cannot acquire the dhcp ip address to obtain internet access. Everything says it's plug and play, it is not plug and plays.

Solves a problem for me when i sometimes need to connect to a network with a hard-wired ethernet connection with the chromebook at times.

I just plugged it into a usb port and connected it to my router with the rj45 ethernet cable connector.

I like the product but the amazon guy just stuck in the middle of my porch.

Built in wifi isn't fast and the plug in the back is slow too.

This did the job out of the box, connecting to the cat-5 through the laptop's usb port.

I am on the att 300mbps plan and got 320mbps with this device vs 170mbps i got on the amazon basic when plugged to the usb2.
