Ftdi chipset was required to connect my elecraft k3 to my pc. Purchased this after trying another device based on the 'prolific' chipset. Fits 9 pin male nicely.

Purchased this, and crashing problem was immediately solved. The proper driver was quickly loaded. Worked fine. Plug and play.

Cons

Thumb screws to tighten them into a connector are very small, have no screw driver slot and near impossible to tighten. The computer (windows 7 pro) recognizes they are there, but i cannot get any device data to pass. This product is useless if you ar... Read More
