Pros & Cons
Pros
Bought this as a christmas gift for the hubby. If you have it charged, it works. Even better would be to also accept a rcr123 (16340) rechargeable battery.
This lighter is definitely designed with wilderness use in mind. One less thing to go wrong and not have to protect from water intrusion. Rubber shell it's incased in and the rubber usb port cover that helps keep dust and debris out.
Cons
Better to use the old gum wrapper and battery trick.
The constantine is more of a novelty item fit for the science museum than a true fire starter. Unable to light my ust lantern or really any candles in a constantine. The lid is also in the way when trying to light candles.
Highlights
Quality
Nice little arc lighter for starting fires with the right kind of materials.
This is my second one, with the first working perfectly.
I like that it auto stops after about 10 seconds and also that it won't come on with the lid closed.
Competitiveness
Even better would be to also accept a rcr123 (16340) rechargeable battery.
The cylinder shape would also be to accommodate a replaceable cr123 battery.
