Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

Very very sturdy. Considering that this small little thing could save your life it really is kind of priceless.

The product is very good and had a nice brightness for its size. Not the brightest but should be sufficient for being seen out on the water at night. The light is super bright compared to the scotty one i previously had.

Just what they advertise. Need to send morse code or sos turn it on, open and close your hand over it.

Cons

It's a little bulkier than expected, and velcro tape that came with is of a poor quality. Unfortunately, this is marred by a huge flaw. Manufactured in china says it all.

It barely lasts 5 hours before it's so faint you can't see it. How does 2 aaa batteries die that fast from a barely visible dim led? The last 2 tone hours is so faint it's useless.

Quality

Overall appears to be well made and small enough to not be a burden.

This item was well made easy to carry.

In the last one i had the batteries went bad after about 18 months, expanded and broke top part of light

I've had it as deep as 80' for 45 minutes with no leakage.

Price

For the price it is a great deal.

Great emergency singling device for the money.

I would say just spend the extra ~$15 and get rev.

At this price you can have several extra.

Shipping

Ust sent me a new one immediately.

Item came on time and as advertised, no complaint yet.

Packaging/appearance

Came in original package and not bulky, but just right size for life preserver device.

The housing i received was light blue in color and not the safety orange in the photos of the product description.

Competitiveness

As an emergency/survival light, it lacks an sos setting, which i have seen on other products at a similar price.
