This strike force fire starter w/ tinder is a solid buy. Once you get the coating off the rod it throws sparks better than most of the ferro rods out there. It's a bit large and heavy for ultralight backpacking but if you need a fire, this is the one ... Read More

The amount of sparks this rod throws is trash compared to my other rods. Maybe i am bias because i use a larger rod usually.
