The only downside is whatever they used for a stiffer backbone inside the paddle. The product seems durable, and has a rod through the whole item.
It has a very nice sting to it, but not so much force that it leaves bruises or whelps. When my hubby swings as hard as he can it gives a nice slight sting which i like. They are delicious on the thorns and the marks left are pleasant.

The fit and finish is good, but the paddle is flimsy. It's just a faux leather covered cardboard.
Because of its flimsiness, it lacks both sting and thud. A little sting and approachable for beginners but not for the experienced player.

If you are in to spankings that have a deep consistent sting this may not be for you but if you are in to a slight sting every so often this one is great for that
