The adhesive is great! It works good for that but make sure the shiny side reflects all the heat!

It is definitely quieter than the factory foam. My generator is mounted on a stand on the outside of the window.

The adhesive is basically non-existent for the most part it makes this unusable. The foam back breaks easily.
