While i can screw an m2 nut onto one when i try to use them in longer holes where i have tapped an m2 thread which the metal ones work fine with the screws tend to get tight after about 45mm

A quick look at the thread pitch on the plastic screw compared to either the m2 tap or an m2 screw shows that the thread pitch wanders out after a few millimeters

Update i persevered with these and found that as long as the threaded hole is well cleaned out and not longer than about 5mm they work

Its a good idea to drive a steel screw through the hole first to check

As a note due to the softness of the nylon the crosshead tends to strip out easily even with a perfectly sized screwdriver when tightening i actually find it better to use a narrow flathead screwdriver

Be careful tightening too much otherwise they can break
