Pros

The knob is easy to control. Turn the knob to your other left to unlock (lol). I have but only two the first is that you can't use the same number twice in sequence.

It's the right size to mount behind the headboard. Can be discreetly positioned for easy access. The trade off is that it feels a little less securely fastened. An ingenious mounting system that makes it a breeze to mount inside any standard cabinet.

Box is sturdy construction, well made, and nicely packaged. The case is well built and sturdy. Very well built, and cleverly designed.

Some complain about the slide out tray but i find it fine and quick acting, does not hang up upon sliding out. The drawer is not on rails, which is not necessarily a drawback if you looking to be able to easily remove the tray. Makes very little noise... Read More

Cons

The drawer is not on slides. This makes it hard to line up the latch bolt. The only way to know if the safe is closed is to shake the door slightly.

The best feature compared to other similar-sized lockboxes isthe all-mechanical locking mechanism.

If you require more security, there are numerous other products in the v-line familiy that fit that bill.

I bought two safes at the same time: this one - made in usa - and another one - made in china.

I have another brand's side mount gun safe, which requires me to double check the code every night to be sure the battery hasn't failed.
