Pros & Cons
Pros
Great quality item. Thankfully, it works perfectly right out of the box as of the first day i received it. Their products are top notch and are a very good value for the pricing.
Easy to reset the numeric combination. I prefer the simplex locks for reliability and they are every bit as fast with practice.
Includes anti-corrosion pad for interior of safe. Only flaw is the stripe to hold the rifle is on top of the safe. I expect this will stop any children who find the safe or other casual people snooping around while i'm not looking.
Simplex lock means you don’t have to rely on batteries. The mechanical simplex lock is bullet proof.
I wish v-line added a provision for something like this by adding some indentations into the side that would allow for a small shelf either for a * or magazines. The v-line security case meets my expectations. It is on the ca doj gun safety device lis... Read More
Cons
Only worked to read fingerprint and unlock 1 out of 20 attempts, if that. Great idea, poor design. An adult could bend the lid back and gain access to your firearm with very little determination.

For handguns, i prefer the fas1 product which utilizes the same simplex style illinois lock but is much more solidly constructed.
A few of my observations on this product.
Price
This was the closest i could fine and the price was right.
Also the price of 600 to 800 dollars for a decent one is outrageous.
The street price is a little higher than the other two but when you consider it us usa made and the lock itself simply costs mu... Read More
Although the price almost stopped me from purchasing this product, i am glad that i did.
Packaging/appearance
A person could also grab the bottom of the door and pry it enough to get to the contents.
I suspended the handguns on clips from the metal loops used to hold the velco strap, so they don't take up space down below.
Competitiveness
I can easily fit an ak-47 rifle in it, a shotgun or an ar-15 rifle.
This security cabinet was very easy to install: it has three sets of pre-drilled holes on the rear panel to make mounting to a ... Read More
A little expensive but not much competition in this 42 length.
Anyone with a prybar who wants into this can get in with a minute or two work.

Mine has an aimpoint pro on top which simply makes the rifle too tall for a 30 round magazine as well so i keep a 20 round lancer mag in it which fits no problem
