It is extremely well designed and constructed - so will safely keep my grandchildren away from my gun. It has simple instructions for use and mounting. This is perfect for keeping a firearm locked and safe from children.

The simplex lock works great. I am a fire medic and the ambulances my city buys have the same simplex locks for the * box cabinet. The entirely mechanical 4-pushbutton lock is sweet.

Sturdy with padding and a strap inside. Lock butts feel very solid. This is the second v-line product after my * box.

Super easy to mount with three construction screws, right into the stud.

One of the buttons was not fully depressed, preventing the l-tab from pushing all the way in.

After messing it with it over the course of two days, i finally got it to open again.

Packaging/appearance

The safe came extremely well packaged with ample styrofoam to protect it.

Very compact for my rem 870 + side saddle + a couple of boxes of ammo.

I also added a slim motion sensor led light to the interior of the box and closet.

Once i figured out the combination to the safe, with no help from amazon, the safe looked pretty nice.
