Either one tries to shape the semirigid arcs so to that they stay open or put a twig there mimicking what is done on the vent on the front

There are buckles in most of them but you cannot adjust the tension of the strap anyway you only have 2 settings either fully extended strap or like a third of length if you pass the strap around the peg twice
