One is called ide usually has 44 pins and another is called sata

Your hard drive will have the information usually printed on it somewhere or you can check the manufacturers website so that you can buy the right enclosure

My hdd was mounted on a thin steel cage and had an attached caddy i had to remove all the screws to remove the caddy and the steel cage before i could connect it

I just needed to download all my music docs and pictures so i was able to do it through windows explorer

I ran sisoft sandras disk benchmark on it and i got 19mb per second which was the same as a 60gb 7200rpm drive which has to be great since the notebook hard drive is 20gb 5400rpm

The circuit board was not initially screwed into the case so when i opened the package it slid right out hit the table
