Pros

Varathane ebony stain combined with a tinted polyurethane top coat. The stain goes on beautifully! We now have a table that helps make the dog crates a little less of an eye sore.

Very pleased with the results. This is super easy to work with. Does a great job. A little goes a long way!

I love how this brown isnt a reddish or yellowish brown! Dark grey. Adds white to the grain. The color blends perfectly with our other decor and furniture.

Easy to apply and drying time per coat was reasonable (around 40 minutes) used this on my home built mobile grilling station. Hand held broom cleans it off nicely.

Cons

Turned out a very dark brown with a very tiny reddish tint. The latter is clearly much redder and less yellow/gold.

The stain is not similar to any other varathane premium stains i’ve used before (the ebony is great and much less viscous). The same product is only $13/quart at home depot. Also, this stain is non-returnable on amazon.

I was putting lipstick on a pig and couldn't be happier with the results!

These stains are of equal or better quality and dry in a few hours.

Product applied easily with a brush, and then i just wiped it dry with some paper towels after a minute or two.
