The bottom is very dark and a little squishy like it is beginning to rot. Didn't have roots. Completely soaked in water was just a bunch of dead leaves.

I love this super kawaii “ bear paw” cotyledon tomentosa bear paw succulent.
It lost three or four leaves and part of a stem, and overall the plant looks really sickly and almost dead.
I'm slowly scraping away at the dirt to not damage it, but the dirt is clinging pretty hard.
A couple more leafs have fallen off, but it's standing on its own and slowly getting greener and more vibrant.

The packaging the plant came in seemed fine with packing peanuts and green tissue paper wrapping up the bear paw succulent but when i opened it almost none of the dirt was inside the container portion and the plant itself was really really not doing good

The instructions say to not put it in direct sunlight for the first few days to help it adjust so ive got it with some of my other plants but not too close to any light sources

If it starts perking up ill move it to a new container with more dirt since theres not much dirt for the roots currently

Im impressed by the size of the plant since the size and shape looks very similar to the one in the product image but it looks on the verge of death and covered in dirt
