Before putting the receiver unit on your dog you can test the receiver if the shock mode is working using a included bulb tester

There is a 12 button on the transmitter that should be toggled to stimulate the right dog just in case you are using it at a time for two dogs

I say this because i was a bit worried about using this product with a dog that has on set behavior for these stimulats but this has been a huge help in our field training
