Well this definitely does the job im mainly going to use it to desolder mechanical keyboard switches its all metal aluminum with only the plunger and buttons being plastic as well as the tip you basically just push it down and heat up what your going to remove solder from once its hot you put the thingy over the hot area push the button and it sucks it right up

I actually spent a good 30 minutes trying to open it to get it cleaned because it got clogged and to all avail nothing would work until then i decided to instead of endlessly twisting the cap to pull it off at an angle and then wedge a flat screwdriver to open it and that w

Now its great but it does have one thing i didnt like about it and thats mainly the fact the instructions on the packaging where not for this black variant of this solder pump you see on the blue one you twist to open it and remove the solder thats important to prevent it from getting clogged but on the black one its not the same mechanism
