Given its low wattage the pickup is better than you might expect particularly on wooden and laminate floors but it wasnt great on carpets

But recently ive moved into a house with a corkscrew staircase and the upright hasnt handled the transition well its pretty hard trying to balance an upright on a shallow step

Unlike the old vax upright i had there is nowhere to store the tools apart from a hook at the back end of the machine to hang the combination floorhead on when youre finished

This offering from vax is a compact little machine that whilst small enough to store easily doesnt compromise on how much dust and dirt it can collect in its chamber

I think is a little bit difficult to move in the carpet but you can open the special hole in the hose for have less suction
