The picture shows that you can connect them solely to the trousers without the belt connecting in the middle

Upon doing so i believe i have damaged them and now the elastic of the belt will not return to normal

I believe that the belt not being clipped in the middle would make a better accessory for an outfit than for actual functionality

You can connect the belt in the middle it does have a clip that allows for this
