Purchased because was in lieu of a boxspring and felt was high enough to store boxes underneath and to get the vacuum under.
Using a boxspring will make the mattress too high and will block the headboard.
This is a king size and i have a 12-inch mattress.

As long as u understand ur getting a bed for less than a hundred dollars and that its not ment to last forever setting ur expectations and ur ok with that

But i got this for my teen who likes to just flop down on the bed when they get home
