I bought this unit specifically as it appeared to have a low tea strainer but ive solved this by resting the strainer on the bottom when brewing a small amount

It is very thin and light no problems being washed in the dishwasher almost daily

Very useful pot i sometimes use it to make soft boiled eggs because i can put the kettle on my stoves warmer plate while waiting for the eggs to come up to temperature
