The cubes are made of windbreaker material so they are not particularly firm structurally so this is not something i’d recommend if you’re looking to be able to compress items

The letters didn’t peel and the bag didn’t warp at all

But what made them worth every penny was finding a slip of paper notifiying me the bag had been searched by tsa and realzing i never would have known otherwise as nothing was out of place
