I read where others had issues with the slider moving up while pressing the shutter button and i encountered it as well.
Packaging/appearance
The vello version of the dc-2 remote is everything the nikon version is at half the price and works very well.
Competitiveness
Own several vello products as semi-professional photographer and been happy with each.
Have been using it frequently and find it no better or worse than the nikon brand.
Guess i had expected a mini-usb connection.
Plus it's more reasonably priced than other comparable protectors.

This if fine and is the intended motion if you want to use it in bulb mode and hold it open for you but not during normal operation
