These are great shin guards for light training/ sparring. They definitely absorb the blow from kicks (unless someone kicks full power) brought it to my mma gym.
My hayabusa shin guards feel like you're wearing big clunky winter boots. They are comfy and nice to spar in.
These are good quality and will last longer than any gaurd i have seen in this price range. My muay thai instructor also advocates these style pads. Great for pad and heavy bag work.
Cons

They should really take this design and learn from it
