Transfer Speed
Customers have mixed opinions regarding the transfer speed of Verbatim 2TB Vx500 Portable SSD External Hard Drive USB 3.1 Gen 2. While most are pleased with its fast read speeds and quick file transfers, a few customers have reported thermal throttling and slow write speeds during large-file transfers.

It's small, light, easily fits into a jacket pocket, and is useful for dumping files on and off with ease.
It worked plug and play on my system (windows 7) and although i don't have usb 3.
I didn't keep exact track, but certainly before 50gb of data was written to it the drive thermally throttled itself massively.

This is a 125gb hard drive that is only slightly larger than a typical thumb drive
