Pros

Non-om sign is much cheaper than the official vw part. Only took 5 minutes to install. It's identical to the one in the dealership, and more than half the price.

It's easy to retract the cover. Reclining your rear seats a bit will cover the small gap between the back of the seats and the extension bar. Retraction is smooth.

Material seems sturdy and the spring-loaded mechanism seems solid. The reel area is solid metal construction, and it all around feels like it's made to last. No unpleasant smells.

Cons

It’s a great dupe for the vw accessory that costs twice as much.

This was the perfect solution and part for my budget, and needs.

I've been wanting one for two years, but couldn't bring myself to fork over that kind of cash to a dealer.

Not to mention, so pleased that i didn't have to pay the dealer's outrageous price of $200 for the same part.

I ordered it two days ago (9/6) and arrived today (9/8).

If your tiguan did not come with the cargo cover, do not spend the big money at the dealership…,order this one.
